To find narcotics hidden in cargo or mail has always been a
challenge as substances are concealed making screening a time
consuming and cumbersome process. Studies have shown
hiding places have trace of low quantity substance on the
outside. The Delta R is especially designed to use these
important tells in our advantage.

The Delta R Technology uses differential reflectance
spectroscopy. In short: Light is emitted from the source onto a
surface after which the reflectance is captured by spectrograph
connected to a camera. The camera can determine a difference
called ΔR, hence the name.

The ΔR found is compared within our database to determine if
there is a match with illicit substances. System response will
indicate whether additional inspection needs to be carried out.
Instead of searching all cargo and mail the Delta R can assist in
preselecting items for visitation based on whether trace is
found, making the process less cumbersome.
